GCODE 7: Time 2 Shine

PENSACOLA, Fla. - On Saturday, March 11, 2023, GCODE 7 will officially return to Pensacola bigger than ever. The mission of GCODE is to immerse the Gulf Coast in contemporary African-American youth dancing and stepping blended with live music and visual artistry.

What is GCODE?

The Gulf Coast Omega Dance/Step Extravaganza was first brought to Pensacola, Florida in 2015 after the Lamplighters saw the need for high-caliber youth performances.

GCODE has become a household name in Pensacola and many kids grow up looking forward to the performance that brings out nearly 3,000 community members.

Attendees can expect to see step and dance performances from regionally recognized step teams, featuring Omega Lamplighters, Pensacola Tigers Elite Dance, Redd Diamonds, Dance 4 Your Life, Triple Threat Stallionettes, Soulful Movement, Triple B Dance Academy, Mobile Kappa League, and more!

“GCODE is not a traditional step show – it’s an innovative cultural exhibition from the foundational aspects of fraternity and sorority life,” says Bryan Freeman, founder of GCODE. “This is the largest event of its kind along the Gulf Coast, and we’re excited to welcome guests and amazing vendors to Pensacola this year.”
